Weekly Wrap-Up: Crunch Time

You know when you have something awesome coming up but you have to be sure you have all of the travel arrangements lined up and get all caught up at work and pull everything together to pack and, and, and… That’s what it feels like, right?
Well, that is really how the last week has gone and why the blog has been pretty quiet. I did manage to get in most of my workouts, but I was also feeling a little run down by the end of the week, so I took an extra rest day on Thursday and have been dosing up on Emergen-C since the middle of the week.
Good news is my long run this week went really well! My pace was little slow, but I added an extra half-mile on to my distance and I increased my run:walk intervals by a minute. I finished pretty strong, so I was really happy with that. My 10K isn’t until the first weekend in November, so I’m happy to have my distance to the six mile mark already.
Here are my workouts for the last week:
- Monday – 3 mile run, 20 minute walk
- Tuesday – 20 minute super strength workout, 1 mile run
- Wednesday – 3.5 mile run
- Thursday – Rest
- Friday – 3o minute run
- Saturday – 2.25 mile walk
- Sunday – 6 mile run
In terms of weight loss, I’m still hanging steady at 15 pounds. It isn’t quite where I wanted to be heading into vacation, but I’m ready to start rolling again once we get back and get another 10 pounds off before the end of 2018!

Glad to hear you had such a great week! Solid training for your race!
I hope you are enjoying your vacation! Congrats on getting up to six miles already. You still have plenty of time to polish up that distance before race day if you want. Thanks for linking!
